Job summary

St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for our Diagnostic Radiology Department.

You will perform general radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, communicate with patients to explain exams, and ensure accurate image labeling and billing codes. The role requires radiologic technology training, Wisconsin radiographer licensure, ARRT certification, and BLS within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Advanced training in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program.
• No prior experience required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic and intermediate radiographic procedures including general diagnostic and fluoroscopic exams.
• Communicates with patients to explain procedures and obtain clinical history.
• Positions patients and selects exposure factors with radiation safety practices.
• Identifies patients and labels images; ensures exam accuracy and charge documentation.
• Assists Radiologists and collaborates with the imaging team.
• Maintains records and enters patient data into the radiology information system.
• Handles patient positioning and transporting duties; follows safety protocols.
• Demonstrates age-appropriate care and uses department policies for patient needs.
