Job summary
Carle Health seeks a full-time Radiation Oncology physicist to join our Peoria, Illinois team. You will provide medical physics support across external beam therapy, brachytherapy, SRS, and SBRT, working with physicians and staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
The role includes developing QA programs, maintaining safety standards, and leading education for staff and students. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available, with partial remote work possible for nearby candidates.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or PhD in Physics or a related field.
- ABR certification is required.
- IEMA radiologic technologist license is required.
- Experience in medical physics or related clinical setting preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical physics support for radiation oncology services including external beam therapy, brachytherapy, SRS, and SBRT.
- Lead radiation safety practices, QA programs, and departmental policies.
- Collaborate with physicians, dosimetrists, and therapists to optimize treatment planning and delivery.
- Oversee equipment testing, commissioning, calibration, and ongoing QA.
