Job summary

Carle Health in Peoria, IL is seeking a full-time Radiation Oncology physicist to join our clinical team and support external beam, brachytherapy, SRS and SBRT. The role involves collaboration with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and therapists to ensure precise treatment planning and delivery.

You will oversee QA, policy development, and safety programs, and take on Radiation Safety Officer duties as needed. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available to qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Physics or a related field.
• Certified Specialist in Therapeutic Radiologic Physics (ABR) – required.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist – Radiation Therapy (IEMA) – required.
• Experience in medical physics or a related clinical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical physics support for external beam RT, brachytherapy, SRS and SBRT.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements (IEMA, NRC, ACR, DNV).
• Oversee equipment acceptance testing, commissioning, calibration and QA programs.
