Job summary

RTX in Marlborough, MA is seeking a Software/Hardware Integration Engineer to join the SPY-6 FoR Infrastructure Development/Integration Team. You will help provide the OS framework, configure Red Hat Linux, and integrate software across hardware platforms in a fast-paced, Agile environment.

The role involves real-time embedded software development, testing, tooling maintenance, and potential travel. A DoD Secret clearance is required, with eligibility for U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) required.
• This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
• Experience with scripting languages (Perl, Python, Bash).
• Entry level experience with ClearCase, Git or other configuration management tool.
• Entry level experience with Linux operating systems.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Configuring and installing Operating Systems (RHEL).
• Configuring and installing Network Switches (Dell, Cisco, etc.).
• Configuring and installing other network devices responsible for providing program system requirements.
• Ability to debug and correct stability issues in our software baselines.
• Perform integration and testing of real-time embedded software and tools on Linux.
• Maintenance and enhancement of tooling infrastructure.
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed.
