Job summary

RTX seeks a Software/Hardware Integration Engineer for the SPY-6 FoR Infrastructure Development/Integration Team in Marlborough, MA. You will help provide OS frameworks, configure Red Hat Linux and network devices, and integrate software across hardware platforms.

The role emphasizes agile methods, automation, and CI practices, with opportunities to travel. On-site work in Marlborough and collaboration with engineers at all levels define the day-to-day tasks.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s in STEM.
• Experience with scripting languages (Perl, Python, Bash).
• Entry level experience with ClearCase, Git or other configuration management tool.
• Entry level experience with Linux operating systems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Configure and install RedHat Linux OS.
• Configure network switches (Dell, Cisco, etc.).
• Configure and install other network devices for program requirements.
• Debug and correct stability issues in software baselines.
• Perform integration and testing of real‑time embedded software and tools on Linux.
• Maintain and enhance tooling infrastructure.
• Occasional travel to stakeholder sites (domestic/international).
