Job summary

Raytheon’s SE&T Surface Radars & Sensors Center in US-MA is seeking a Senior Principal Systems Engineer to lead a small team of Radar Systems Engineers within the SI&T department, supporting X-Band radar technology and foreign military sales.

The role focuses on analysis, reporting radar performance, fault isolation, and corrective actions across mechanical, electrical, microwave, software and cyber security domains; travel up to 10% and close collaboration with program management and

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree with extensive relevant experience.
• Proficient in MATLAB, Python, C/C++, Linux/Unix, and shell scripting.
• Experience in systems engineering, radar data analysis, integration, verification and testing.
• Experience with electronic schematics and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Lead radar sustaining engineering teams; allocate personnel and approve deliverables.
• Support program growth through improved processes, people and tools.
• Lead weekly status meetings and develop technical status and issue reports.
• Support maintenance event planning with site team and logistics.
• Guide engineers in fault isolation, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Interact with Program Managers, Business Development, IPTs and leadership.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% locally and non-locally for DoD/Foreign Military Sales work.
