Job summary

Raytheon’s Long Range Radars (LRR) team in Woburn, MA is seeking a Senior Principal Systems Engineer, Technical SME to support the GLOBUS program. The role requires a highly capable engineer to sustain and advance a dual-band radar architecture integrating S-Band and X-Band hardware with modern processing.

You will diagnose interdependent subsystem behaviors, lead hardware and software updates, and work with SMEs to validate beamforming concepts, DREX processing, and controller innovations for

Qualifications

Typically requires a STEM degree and 10+ years of experience.
Experience in defining and driving technical execution plans.
Experience with radar systems and algorithms including signal processing and modeling.

Responsibilities

Sustain and enhance dual-band radar performance (S-Band/X-Band).
Analyze RF behavior, array calibration, microwave dynamics, and servo/pedestal control.
Integrate and validate digital beamforming, DREX chains, and upgraded microwave assemblies.
Troubleshoot interdependent system-level issues across hardware and software.
Collaborate with SMEs to develop, test, and validate technical theories and fixes.
Ensure upgrades align with long-term sensor sustainment strategy.
This position is an onsite role based in Woburn, MA.
