Job summary

Raytheon in Woburn, MA is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to support the SE LRR team within the SE&TC Surface Radars & Sensors Center. This on-site role focuses on concept development, architectural design, flow-down of requirements, modeling and tests for world-class missile defense and sensor systems.

The ideal candidate has a STEM degree and 8+ years of experience with Matlab, C/C++, Java and DOORS, plus strong skills in systems analysis, signal processing, and radar concepts.

Qualifications

• STEM degree required with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Matlab, C/C++, Java, and/or DOORS.
• Experience with systems analysis, algorithms, requirements development and signal processing techniques.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing radar system performance data with respect to requirements.
• Identifying performance deficiencies and proposing solutions.
• Defining and prototyping new algorithms to enhance system performance.
• Presenting plans, designs and system performance to peers, internal leadership and external customers.
• Providing subject matter expertise to agile software development teams to ensure proper implementation of requirements.
• Assisting other systems engineers in their investigations and analysis
