Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Radar Optimization Engineer to support the BNATCS RSR program for the FAA. You will help configure, test, calibrate, and optimize radar systems at multiple sites, serving as a SME to program office leaders and coordinating with FAA personnel and vendors.

The role requires extensive field work, high travel, and proficiency with RF systems, waveform analysis, and radar diagnostics. A TS/FAA clearance readiness is advantageous.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline or equivalent technical training.
Experience with radar systems in NAS or similar environments and FAA-related programs.
Formal radar training completion (FAA Academy or equivalent).

Responsibilities

Represent the program office at RSR sites and manage multi-site schedule.
Serve as RSR SME to project leads for integration, testing, and optimization.
Support radar configuration, testing, calibration, and troubleshooting.
Configure radar tracking parameters, networks, and middleware.
Perform advanced field troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
Coordinate with FAA personnel, vendors, and engineers to resolve issues.
