Job summary

Leidos is seeking a qualified Field Engineer to support the NAS Integration Support Contract (NISC) for the FAA’s BNATCS/Radar Surveillance Replacement (RSR) program. The role involves on-site installation, disposition activities, and acting as a SME across multiple sites with up to 75% travel.

Requirements include a Bachelor's or Master’s degree with extensive relevant experience, formal FAA radar training, and prior radar certification authority at one or more airports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of relevant experience OR Master's Degree with 6+ years of relevant experience, OR additional years of relevant experience may be considered/accepted in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with research, design, and development of electrical equipment and systems.
• Completion of formal Radar training at the FAA Academy.
• Prior Radar certification authority at one or more airports.
• Several years of hands-on field experience on one or more Radar systems in the active NAS.

Responsibilities

• Represent the PO at RSR sites, executing to an aggressive multi-site schedule.
• Serve as an RSR subject matter expert (SME) to the RSR program office project, implementation, and engineering leads.
• Participate in final planning and site preparation, including development of site implementation plans and site visits as required.
• Provide onsite installation/construction consultation supporting implementation and disposition activities, including advising contractors on requirements based on design drawings and the SOW.
