Job summary

ViiV Healthcare in Durham, NC, is seeking a strategic, execution‑focused leader to translate R&D strategy into actionable plans and govern delivery across priority workstreams. The role involves coordinating with the R&D LT, external partnerships, and AI planning to advance the R&D agenda.

The successful candidate will have a Master’s in Life Sciences (or higher) and 12+ years in pharma/biotech, with a proven ability to lead complex, multi-year initiatives in dynamic environments.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Life Sciences or related field with significant experience.
• Proven track record leading cross-functional strategic initiatives.
• Strong written and verbal communication with senior stakeholders.
• Experience with external partnerships and innovative business models in R&D.

Responsibilities

• Translate R&D strategy into clear priorities, outcomes and execution plans.
• Lead priority workstreams to improve planning, portfolio strategy and governance.
• Coordinate cross-functional delivery across R&D effectiveness, partnerships, and AI planning.
• Contribute to and coordinate the ViiV R&D strategy and business plan.
• Define objectives, milestones, KPIs and scorecards to track progress.
