Job summary

ViiV Healthcare, based in Durham, NC (US) with flexible locations, seeks a Senior Director, Early Development Leader to drive the global early development strategy for HIV assets. You will lead an multidisciplinary team, align with senior management across functions, and manage portfolio progress from early concepts to Phase 2b.

Qualifications

• MD/DO/PhD/PharmD with clinical fellowship or infectious diseases research experience.
• 5+ years of drug development experience.
• Experience in establishing and executing a drug development strategy.
• Experience in presenting scientific data to internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Leads the multi-functional global Early Development Team (EDT) delivering assets to Phase 2b.
• Directs medicine development strategy from Candidate Selection through Proof of Concept.
• Develops regional and global strategy for products and interfaces with senior management and external stakeholders.
• Manages asset development options and budget, ensuring alignment with timelines and governance reviews.
• Creates and maintains an integrated asset development plan and budget, representing the EDT at governance reviews.
