Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories seeks an experienced R&D Manager to lead the SI Threat Evaluations Department within the Secure SI Systems Analytics Group. You will guide strategy, build cross‑lab relationships, and advance SI security for national security missions.

The role requires leadership, a strong technical background, and the ability to secure DOE Q and SCI clearances. Onsite work in Albuquerque, NM is expected with a focus on mission impact and staff development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and eight years of directly relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DOE Q and SCI clearances, which may include a polygraph examination.
• Two or more years of demonstrated leadership experience.
• MS or PhD in science or engineering is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presentations, proposals, reports and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the management team and TIC to set vision and strategies for SI security.
• Build relationships with internal/external customers and federal agencies to share SI security insights.
• Collaborate with mission managers to understand SI security needs and prioritize support.
• Lead cross-organizational teams and manage a diverse, high-performing group.
