Sandia National Laboratories in New Mexico is seeking an experienced Manager, R&D Science and Engineering to lead the Secure Software Solutions Department (6614). This role delivers secure, scalable software for national security missions and provides strategic technical leadership across programs.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and eight (8) years of directly relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Active DOE Q-level security clearance.
• Two or more years of demonstrated leadership experience.
• A graduate degree in science or engineering (MS or Ph.D.).
• Outstanding interpersonal skills in developing trusting relationships with peers, staff, management, customers, and stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the development and delivery of presentations, proposals, reports and documentation.
• Proven interpersonal skills in developing trusting relationships among direct reports, peers, management, and customers.
• Demonstrated expertise in secure software development practices, including experience with software security frameworks and tools.
• Experience working within national security or government software programs, preferably related to nuclear security or counterterrorism.
• Demonstrated experience developing and managing high-performing software development teams, including partnering effectively with other managers across the laboratory.
• Experience overseeing activity-level work and managing complex software projects.
• Strong knowledge of Sandia's capabilities and Nuclear Security Enterprise partners.
• Experience interacting with NNSA and other external partners.
• Demonstrated experience effectively networking and partnering with organizations both inside and outside of Sandia.
• Ability to represent Sandia and our team to external customers.
