Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Manager, R&D Science & Engineering in the Strategic RF & Electronic Systems group. You will lead a team delivering high-consequence national security electronics, partnering with sponsors and customers to drive programs across the lifecycle.

The role requires a DOE Q clearance, a bachelor's degree with extensive experience, and the ability to obtain SCI access. On-site work with opportunities for collaboration and travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience or equivalent
• Active DOE Q security clearance or equivalent
• Ability to obtain and maintain SCI access (polygraph may be required)
• Experience leading engagements with DoD/NNSA sponsors

Responsibilities

• Build and strengthen the team through hiring, development and performance management
• Lead department-level planning and communication to customers and partners
• Connect staff work with beneficiaries, collaborators and customers
• Build trust-based relationships to meet customer needs
• Oversee security for work within the department
• Ensure safe operations of department staff
• Collaborate with other 5370 managers for design and delivery of electronic systems
• Some travel is required
