The position emphasizes strategic vision, business development with government sponsors, and staff recruitment to build high‑performing teams. DOE Q clearance and SCI eligibility are required, with travel up to two times per month.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and eight years of directly relevant experience or equivalent.
• Active DOE Q clearance required to start and ability to obtain SCI (polygraph may be required).
• Graduate degree (MS/PhD) in science or engineering is preferred for advanced leadership.
• Proven leadership experience with teams and R&D project management.
• Experience in business development with DoD or government sponsors and knowledge of SPP/SIPP processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Cyber Threat Program activities across DoW, NNSA, and government sponsors.
• Set strategic vision for R&D to build new cyber security capabilities.
• Recruit, develop, and retain staff; drive innovation in the department and center.
• Manage diverse security requirements in a classified environment and deliver R&D products to sponsors.
