Job summary

Natera is seeking a Supervisor for R&D Sample Management to direct biobanking, cold chain logistics, and daily sample management supporting clinical diagnostics and trials. You will partner with cross-functional teams to execute sample processing with rigorous precision.

In this role, you’ll lead staffing, manage LIMS records, train new hires, and ensure adherence to federal regulations and SOPs, while safeguarding PHI and data integrity across clinical studies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in a scientific discipline.
• At least 4 years of hands-on laboratory experience in an industry setting.
• Experience working in clinical study or trial sample management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily staffing, scheduling, and operational setup for the Sample Management team.
• Lead clinical study and trial sample management using data to resolve inquiries and drive outcomes.
• Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments with CROs, partners, and collaborators.
• Manage receipt, registration, storage, and inventory of samples for R&D and clinical trials.
• Maintain precise sample records in LIMS and reconcile inventory with data.
• Train the Sample Management team and monitor progress of new hires.
• Ensure compliant, ethical management of samples under applicable regulations.
• Monitor adherence to SOPs and lab safety procedures.
• Handle PHI in paper and electronic formats.
• Complete required HIPAA/PHI privacy, compliance, and security training within 30 days.
