Job summary

Natera, Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Assistant I to support specimen handling, data entry, and daily lab workflows at our California facility.

You will assist licensed staff, manage samples, and help maintain accurate records in the LIMS while adhering to privacy and security requirements. The role emphasizes attention to detail, teamwork, and reliability, with opportunities to participate in process improvements and training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Science-related degree preferred.
• Less than 1 year industry related experience preferred.
• Employee must pass post offer criminal background check.
• Employee must complete HIPAA/PHI privacy and security training within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed staff in preparing specimens for testing.
• Receive and deliver specimens to the appropriate workflows and labs.
• Enter patient data into the Laboratory Inventory Management System (LIMS).
• Prepare samples for shipment.
• Maintain organization of inventory, materials, and supplies within the lab.
• Escalate issues to the lead/supervisor.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement Projects (TAG, 5S).
