Job summary

Idaho National Laboratory is seeking an R&D Project Manager to lead the Nuclear Fuels and Materials experiments portfolio. You will oversee design, irradiation, shipment, and post-irradiation examination, coordinating across quality, regulatory, and engineering teams to meet milestones and deliverables.

You will interface with national and international partners to advance nuclear initiatives, manage budgets, and prepare plans and data packages in accordance with INL standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering or related field from ABET-accredited program with relevant experience.
• Advanced degree in Nuclear Engineering or related field from ABET-accredited program with additional experience.
• Experience with ASME NQA-1 2000 or equivalent quality programs is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, analysis, fabrication, irradiation, shipment, and post-irradiation examination of first-of-a-kind experiments.
• Provide leadership across disciplines including quality, engineering, regulatory, and instrumentation.
• Interface with national and international partners to negotiate experiments and deliverables.
• Prepare and execute Experiment Execution Plans, requirements, and data packages per guidelines and procedures.
• Identify and resolve challenges and manage scope, schedule, and budget to meet milestones.
• Coordinate with diverse teams and management to assign staff and achieve objectives.
• Prepare monthly experiment highlight reports and engineering delivery documents.
