Job summary

Idaho National Laboratory (INL) is seeking a Technical Program Manager to accelerate the demonstration and deployment of advanced nuclear energy systems within NRIC. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, set priorities, and coordinate activities across labs and industry partners to advance reactor concepts from design to demonstration.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in systems engineering for pilot plants, with experience in cost control, risk management, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 9 years, or Master’s 6, or PhD 4 years of relevant experience in Nuclear, Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in systems engineering or engineering design of pilot plants and experimental facilities.
• Knowledge of model-based systems and digital engineering into plant design.
• Knowledge of requirements management, configuration management, risk management, systems analysis, verification and validation.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead multiple complex projects; establish program priorities and integrate activities.
• Guide engineering, construction, modification, and operational readiness for advanced reactor testing and demonstration.
• Maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders (DOE, national labs, industry partners).
• Communicate program performance and ensure compliance with requirements and standards.
