Job summary

Idaho National Laboratory (INL) seeks a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead NRIC programs, coordinating with DOE, NRC, and industry partners to drive advanced reactor testing and deployment. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, manage facility development, and ensure successful execution across a national-scale portfolio.

The role requires deep program management expertise, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to navigate regulatory pathways.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 14 years, or Master's degree and 8 years, or PhD and 6 years relevant experience.
• Five (5) years of experience in program management.
• Demonstrated knowledge of project and portfolio management principles, methodologies, and tools.
• Familiarity with requirements management, configuration management, risk management, systems analysis, and verification and validation.
• Knowledge of nuclear regulatory frameworks, including DOE authorization processes for nuclear facilities and NRC licensing requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong critical thinking, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a “Q” clearance (U.S. citizenship).

Responsibilities

• Oversee a portfolio of projects, ensuring delivery on schedule and within budget.
• Coordinate across DOE and industry partners on program execution.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and manage experimental facilities development.
• Engage with NRC and DOE to advance licensing pathways for reactors.
• Prepare progress reports for customers, partners, and management.
