Job summary

Dexcom is seeking a Supervisor for the R&D Process Development Lab in San Diego to lead a team of technicians, run development builds, DOE studies, and equipment evaluations while ensuring safe, compliant operations.

You will partner with Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, R&D, and Quality to advance new product development, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement through data-driven methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field and 8–12 years of lab/engineering leadership experience.
• Experience in regulated environments such as medical devices.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
• Experience with equipment qualification and calibration programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily operations of the R&D Process Development Lab.
• Plan and execute DOE, process studies, feasibility assessments, and pilot builds.
• Partner with Process/Manufacturing Engineering, R&D, and Quality teams.
• Maintain procedures, training, and documentation per quality systems.
• Drive safety initiatives and continuous improvement in efficiency and data quality.
• Manage budgets, equipment purchases, vendor relationships, and resource planning.
