Job summary

Bausch + Lomb is seeking a Director for R&D Global Portfolio and Project Management to lead a team of project managers and coordinate a portfolio of development programs. You will drive governance, apply best practices, and align projects with strategic goals across Vision Care, Surgical, or Pharmaceuticals/Consumer.

The role emphasizes mentoring, cross-functional collaboration, regulatory planning, and ensuring on-time, on-budget execution of complex programs within a global framework.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Science or Engineering required or equivalent
• Advanced degree preferred in science, engineering or business
• Experience leading R&D project management teams
• PM certification such as PMP is a plus
• Experience with GMP/design control and regulatory concepts

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of R&D project managers and coordinators.
• Oversee NPD governance and ensure standardized project management across development lifecycle.
• Translate customer needs into product requirements and define project scope, timeline and budget.
• Mentor staff and contribute to cross-functional initiatives within R&D.
