Job summary

Ursa Major is seeking a research and development engineer to support analysis of solid rocket motor production materials. You will assist in setting up lab experiments, operating equipment, and collecting high-quality data while following strict safety standards.

Growth into other areas is possible as you contribute to propellant development and manufacturing transitions. The role emphasizes collaboration with energetics development, production, and quality teams, with a focus on precise data

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in engineering or related field.
• Experience in manufacturing or lab settings preferred.
• Ability to read SOPs and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and operate experimental hardware and instrumentation.
• Help build data acquisition for new experiments.
• Conduct experiments and collect quality data per procedures.
• Document procedures and results with detailed lab notes.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to report findings.
