Job summary

Ursa Major is seeking a Laboratory Technician (Energetics) to support analysis of solid rocket motor materials. The role involves hands-on analytical chemistry and materials characterization with a strong safety focus, including handling energetic materials.

You will install and calibrate instrumentation, develop procedures, and assist with data collection and reporting while ensuring quality and safety in a fast-paced lab environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a chemistry or materials testing lab performing structured analytical work.
• Familiarity with chemical analysis equipment and SOPs.
• Strong data collection, analysis, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and calibrate analytical hardware for energetic materials analysis.
• Develop calibration curves, test standards, and data bases for results.
• Assist with analysis of energetic/inert articles and manage chemical inventories.
• Prepare analytical procedures and participate in data interpretation meetings.
• Maintain detailed lab notation and governance of data.
