Job summary

Ursa Major is seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician (Energetics) to support analysis of solid rocket motor production materials in a safety‑driven setting. You will help operate and maintain analytical equipment, develop procedures, and assist with energetic materials handling.

The role emphasizes rigorous data collection, documentation, and cross‑team collaboration with a focus on quality and safety. Prior experience with energetic materials is valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in chemistry or mechanical/materials testing laboratory performing structured analytical work.
• Familiarity with FTIR, auto-titration and thermal analysis equipment.
• Knowledge of safety protocols for handling hazardous materials and SOPs.
• Proficiency with data analysis software and presenting analytical results.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and calibrate analytical hardware and instrumentation.
• Develop analytic procedures, calibration curves, failure envelopes, and data databases.
• Assist with energetic and inert articles for analysis and manage chemical inventories and procurement.
