Job summary

Ursa Major is seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician (Energetics) in Colorado to support solid rocket motor material analysis and energetics characterization. The role involves setup, operation, and maintenance of analytical equipment, with training to handle energetic materials and a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Experience: Preferred minimum of 2 years in a chemistry or mechanical/materials testing lab performing structured analytical work, data collection, data analysis.
• Familiarity with auto-titration, FTIR, thermal analysis and material testing.
• Ability to read, write and follow SOPs.
• Proficiency with data analysis software and Microsoft Office; ability to present analytical results.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and calibrate analytical hardware and instrumentation with the team.
• Develop procedures, calibration curves, and data analysis workflows; manage results databases.
• Maintain chemical inventories and assist with procurement; support energetic and inert articles analysis.
