Job summary

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with electromechanical assembly.
• Soldering techniques for electronic and electromechanical assemblies.
• Follow SOPs and manufacturing documentation.
• Read and interpret blueprints, BOMs, wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Experience in regulated environments (medical devices or similar).
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-610/ IPC-620).
• Exposure to R&D and prototype builds.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Basic troubleshooting skills.
• Attention to detail in production records.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical components and subassemblies per drawings and procedures.
• Perform wiring, cable routing, soldering, crimping, and connector installation.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, BOMs.
• Conduct functional testing, calibration, and verification of assemblies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve assembly/test issues using standard tools.
• Document assembly activities, test results, and nonconformances per quality system.
• Ensure safety, quality standards, and company policies are followed.
• Maintain accurate production records (DHRs, travelers).
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and lean initiatives.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to resolve issues.
• Assist in updating work instructions and procedures.
• Support prototype builds and new product introductions in a fluid R&D environment.
• Build cables and electromechanical subassemblies with emphasis on mechanical work.
• Maintain clean, organized work area following 5S principles.
