Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Enrolled in the NC State University co-op program.
• Able to work on-site full-time (40 hours/week) during Summer/Fall 2027.
• Located within 50 miles of Wendell, NC; housing/relocation not provided.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Current enrollment required; continuing studies after assignment; consider other programs.

Responsibilities

• Support R&D projects for Low Voltage Motor Control Centers including VFD and Disconnect Switch units.
• Create and update 3D models of copper and sheet metal assemblies.
• Develop part and assembly drawings and verify design accuracy.
• Support prototype builds by preparing JT files and hands-on activities.
• Complete product support tasks related to non-conformances and design errors.
