Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Design Engineering Co-op based in Wendell, NC, affiliated with NC State University. You will support development and product care projects, model switchgear, and draft mechanical components while assisting prototype assembly and testing.

The role is a full-time, fixed-term co-op for Summer–Fall 2027, on-site at our Wendell office, supporting ERP releases for production. Applicants must be enrolled in the NC State co-op program, pursuing a mechanical or manufacturing

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in the NC State University co-op program.
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical/manufacturing engineering or related field.
• Excellent Excel skills and ability to read technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Support development and product care projects contributing to new products and improvements.
• Model switchgear to support engineering and design activities.
• Design and drafting of new mechanical components.
• Assist prototype assembly, test object configuration, and material sample testing.
• Release parts into ERP for production use.
