Job summary

Siemens is seeking qualified candidates for the Design Engineering Summer–Fall Co-op in the Electrification and Automation division at our Wendell, North Carolina office. The role focuses on supporting power distribution systems, modeling, drafting, and prototype testing in a collaborative environment.

Applicants must be enrolled in a bachelor’s program (Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering) and located within 50 miles of Wendell, NC, with on-site, full-time hours during Summer and Fall 2027.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Basic knowledge of engineering and manufacturing principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to read/understand technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Support development and product care projects for new product development and improvements.
• Measure and model switchgear to support engineering and design activities.
• Design and draft new mechanical components.
• Assist prototype assembly, test object configuration, and material sample testing.
• Release parts into ERP for production use.
