Job summary

Siemens, Electrification and Automation division, invites motivated electrical engineering students to join a co-op at the Wendell, NC office starting May 2027. You will support power distribution projects, review drawings, and assist engineers while gaining exposure to protection and power systems in data centers and utility settings.

This on-site internship runs for Summer and Fall 2027, requires full-time availability, and is ideal for students enrolled in the NC State University co-op

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Completed coursework in Power Systems and Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering.
• Able to work on-site full-time (40 hours/week) during Summer and Fall 2027.
• Enrolled in NC State University co-op program.
• Locally located within 50 miles of Wendell, NC; no relocation support.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Co-op is a structured experiential program for continuing studies.

Responsibilities

• Support electrical engineering projects related to medium-voltage power distribution equipment.
• Review engineering drawings and technical documentation to support project execution.
• Assist Lead Project Engineers with engineering deliverables and documentation.
• Support process improvement and engineering documentation initiatives.
• Gain exposure to protection and power system concepts for data center and utility applications.
