Job summary

Graybar is seeking a Coordinator in the Quotations Department in Richmond, VA to support pricing, costing, and quoting with customer specifications. You will research product lines, analyze options, and generate profitable quotations to drive repeat business.

Responsibilities include preparing estimates, consulting with factories, conducting market research, and supporting sales with accurate, timely quotes under deadlines. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience communicating with customers, suppliers, or manufacturers.
• 4+ years in sales, negotiations, pricing, and building relationships preferred.
• 2-year degree preferred.
• Knowledge of multiple product lines and pricing strategies to generate profitable quotations.
• Knowledge of SAP programs used to support quotations.
• Knowledge of logistics strategies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates of materials and compile bills of material.
• Consult with factories and reps to obtain best-cost information and audit BOMs.
• Conduct research to identify customer requirements and product specifications.
• Analyze competitors’ products to identify market opportunities.
• Prepare and submit accurate technical quotations under tight deadlines.
• Support change orders and job lot billing in some branches.
• Provide quotes to sales staff and assist with take-offs.
• Support promotional opportunities from corporate and regional teams.
• Maintain technical knowledge through training, publications, and networks.
