Job summary

APAC Tennessee, Inc., part of CRH, seeks a Quarry Plant Operator to perform a variety of laboring activities including lubrication, cleaning, painting, tire work, and mechanical assistance at our quarry near Memphis.

You will follow the plant foreman's instructions, work with minimal supervision, and be prepared to travel or work nights and weekends as needed; overtime may be required. High school diploma or GED and 1–2 years related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• One year related experience preferred.
• HS diploma or GED required; 1–2 years related experience or training.

Responsibilities

• Maintain aggregate crusher, washer, and surrounding environment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Shoveling, sweeping, steam cleaning, painting, tire work, mechanical assistance; lifting, pushing and pulling various objects.
• Report production issues to supervisor or lead person.
• Ability to perform strenuous work in varying weather conditions.
• Willing to travel and work away from home when required.
• Willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
• Report to work at the designated start time.
• Able to work overtime when required.
• Other duties as assigned per supervisor.
