Job summary

APAC Tennessee, Inc., a CRH company, seeks a Quarry Plant Operator to support safe, efficient asphalt and concrete production near downtown Memphis. You'll perform laboring tasks, operate and maintain equipment, and follow foreman's instructions with minimal supervision.

The role requires reading comprehension, basic math, and the ability to work days, nights, or swing shifts, including overtime. A high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; and 1–2 years related experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to work various shifts (days, nights, swings)

Responsibilities

• Maintain crusher, washer, and surrounding area for safe operation.
• Perform shoveling, sweeping, steam cleaning, painting, and tire work.
• Provide mechanical assistance and handle lifting and pulling tasks.
• Communicate production issues to supervisor and lead person.
• Work varying shifts and overtime as required.
