Job summary

APAC Tennessee, Inc., a CRH company, is seeking a Quarry Plant Operator to support crushing, washing, and related plant duties. You will perform laboring tasks such as lubricating, shoveling, sweeping, steam cleaning, painting, tire work and mechanical assistance, under the foreman's supervision.

You must be able to work varied shifts, tolerate weather, lift up to 75 lbs, and pass a fitness test. Reliable attendance and basic math are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 1–2 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to work various shifts (days, nights, swings).

Responsibilities

• Maintain aggregate crusher, washer, and surrounding environment for safe, efficient operation.
• Shoveling, sweeping, steam cleaning, painting, tire work, and mechanical assistance.
• Communicate production issues to supervisor or lead person.
• Able to work in varying weather conditions and perform strenuous tasks.
• Willing to travel and work away from home when required; willing to work nights and weekends.
• Report to work at designated start time and work overtime when required.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
