Job summary

APAC Tennessee, Inc., a CRH company, is seeking a Quarry Plant Operator in the Memphis area. This role involves a variety of laboring tasks such as lubricating, shoveling, sweeping, steam cleaning, painting, tire work, and mechanical assistance under the plant foreman's instruction.

You will maintain crushers and washers, perform strenuous work in varying weather, and may travel or work nights/weekends as needed; the position reports to the supervisor with duties assigned accordingly.

Qualifications

• One (1) year related experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to work various shifts (days, nights, swings).

Responsibilities

• Maintaining aggregate crusher, washer, and surrounding environment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Shoveling; sweeping; steam cleaning; painting; tire work; mechanical assistance; lifting, pushing and pulling various objects.
• Communicating production issues to supervisor or lead person.
• Able to work overtime when required.
• Other duties as assigned per supervisor.
