Amrize, a leading construction materials supplier, is seeking a Plant Operator for its quarry in Manquin, Virginia. You will operate and monitor crushing, screening, and processing equipment to ensure efficient production and product quality.

The role requires 2–5 years of relevant experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety. You will collaborate with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime and maintain records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–5 years of experience operating equipment in aggregate quarry, crushing plant, mining operation, or similar industrial environment.
• Experience operating crushers, screens, conveyors, feeders, and related processing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor crushing, screening, conveying, and processing equipment to maintain consistent aggregate production.
• Control and adjust plant operations to optimize production rates, material flow, and product quality.
• Inspect equipment and identify mechanical or operational issues before they cause delays or breakdowns.
• Perform routine maintenance, lubrication, and inspections to support plant performance.
• Monitor stockpiles and product specifications to ensure quality compliance.
• Troubleshoot equipment and make adjustments to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
• Conduct quality checks and sample materials to verify product specs.
• Safely operate mobile and fixed plant equipment per safety procedures and regulations.
• Coordinate with quarry, maintenance, and production teams to keep material moving.
• Maintain production, inspection, and maintenance records; report issues to supervision.
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies and promote safety culture.
