Job summary

Amrize, a leading supplier of construction building materials in the United States, has an immediate opening for a Plant Operator at our quarry in Manquin, Virginia. You will operate and monitor crushing, screening, conveying and processing equipment, perform routine maintenance, and conduct quality and safety checks to ensure efficient production and product quality.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-5 years of experience operating equipment in an aggregate quarry, crushing plant, mining operation, or similar industrial environment.
• Experience operating and monitoring crushers, screens, conveyors, feeders, and related processing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor crushing, screening, conveying, and processing equipment to maintain consistent aggregate production.
• Control and adjust plant operations to optimize production rates, material flow, and product quality.
• Inspect equipment and identify mechanical or operational issues before they cause delays or breakdowns.
• Perform routine maintenance, lubrication, and equipment inspections to support reliable plant performance.
• Monitor stockpiles and material flow to ensure aggregate meets quality requirements.
• Troubleshoot equipment and make operational adjustments to minimize downtime.
