Job summary

IonQ, Inc. in College Park, MD, seeks a QPU Production Test Development Manager to lead engineers and technicians validating new QPU designs and ensuring manufactured QPUs meet performance criteria.

You will own the test strategy, laboratory capability, and test campaigns across design, science, engineering, and manufacturing. Sitting within Device Operations, you will define good tests and oversee partners as testing moves along the roadmap, while building a small team and improving throughput,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, physics, applied physics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience leading test programs and cross-functional teams.
• Experience developing or overseeing test automation, preferably using Python.

Responsibilities

• Own test roadmap and lab readiness across design, science, engineering, and manufacturing teams.
• Develop repeatable test plans, acceptance criteria, and standard report formats across sites.
• Lead root-cause analysis for ambiguous results and failures and present risks and recommendations.
