Job summary

IonQ, Inc. in College Park, MD is seeking a Control Electronics engineer to design and test custom board assemblies for our quantum computer.

You will move designs from schematic capture and simulation to working prototypes on the bench, validating them with a range of test equipment and automated scripts. You’ll collaborate on design reviews, adapt to evolving requirements, and work on a schedule while keeping measurement-driven decision making at the forefront.

Qualifications

• You need real board level design experience with a substantial analogue component.
• Comfort in the lab using test equipment such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.
• A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent; a PhD is not required.

Responsibilities

• Own custom board designs from schematic capture to working prototypes.
• Characterise hardware with oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers and your own automated test.
• Contribute to design reviews across the team's projects.
