Job summary

Getz Fire Equipment Company in Peoria, IL is seeking a Quality Support Specialist to lead portable fire extinguisher field technicians and installers. You will ensure work is safe, meets NFPA 10, and is completed to Getz quality standards while coaching staff.

This full-time, weekday daytime role involves fieldwork with a company vehicle, acting as first-line contact for technician questions and scheduling, reviewing reports, and supporting the Division Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Several years of field experience as portable fire extinguisher technician.
• Working knowledge of NFPA 10 and applicable state/local codes.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to train/mentor technicians.

Responsibilities

• Lead field quality control checks and ride-alongs for technicians.
• Serve as first point of contact for technician questions, job assignments and scheduling.
• Resolve customer complaints at the field level and assist technicians when service is behind.
• Maintain branch and vehicle cleanliness and ensure tools/inventory are available.
• Review technician reports and act as backup trainer for hands-on training.
