Job summary

Tri-S Recruiters seeks a Quality Supervisor for a new plastic injection molding operation in Mocksville, NC. You will supervise the Quality Department, ensuring molded parts meet customer, engineering, and internal quality requirements while maintaining effective inspection processes.

You will lead floor inspections, coordinate with Production and Engineering, manage nonconforming material, and drive corrective actions to prevent defects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Quality Department on the manufacturing floor and coordinate with Production, Engineering, Maintenance and Management.
• Monitor processes for compliance with work instructions and ensure inspectors perform required quality checks.
• Manage nonconforming material control, disposition decisions, and containment.
• Supervise Quality Technicians/Inspectors and ensure proper inspection coverage and recordkeeping.
• Drive corrective actions and root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence of defects.
• Support mold changes, startup quality, scrap/rework monitoring, and documentation accuracy.
