True North Consultants, Inc. is assisting a Mocksville plastics manufacturer in seeking a Quality Supervisor for plastic injection molding operations.

This role ensures molded products meet customer, engineering, and internal quality requirements while maintaining inspection processes and controlling nonconforming material. The successful candidate will be highly visible on the manufacturing floor, lead Quality Technicians/Inspectors, and collaborate with Production, Engineering, Maintenance,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Quality Department on the shop floor.
• Monitor molding quality and ensure compliance with work instructions.
• Manage nonconforming material control and disposition.
• Coordinate inspections: first-piece, in-process, final, and dimensional.
• Implement corrective actions and track effectiveness.
• Oversee documentation and records retention.
• Provide shift-to-shift handoffs and communicate issues to management.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering and Maintenance to prevent defects.
