Job summary

Silfex in Eaton, Ohio is seeking a Supv 1, Quality for the C shift in the Final Inspection area. Directs and coordinates the activities of the Final Inspection team to ensure products meet specifications and production schedules.

The role emphasizes safety, adherence to QMS, coaching staff, and driving continuous improvement with lean/Six Sigma methods; associates degree and 6+ years experience required.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or equivalent with 6+ years of related experience.
• Lean Thinking and Tools knowledge preferred.
• Ability to coach, mentor, and influence others.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret dimensional prints, procedures, or regulations.
• Eligible to receive deemed exports of EAR or ITAR controlled technology.
• Lean/Six Sigma training, Green Belt certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates the activities of Final Inspection for the C shift.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and EHS requirements.
• Maintain and apply Silfex Quality Management System and procedures.
• Plan inspection requirements from production orders and schedules.
• Coordinate inspection activities to ensure product quality meets specifications.
• Resolve issues with Quality, Maintenance, Metrology, and Programming staff as needed.
• Lead continuous improvement and drive achievement of AOP metrics.
• Coach team members and manage time-off approvals and training.
• Represent Quality in meetings and audits and maintain SQDC boards daily.
