Job summary

Amcor seeks a quality leader to develop and support the plant's Quality Systems and Process Improvement projects, ensuring high-quality products meet customer requirements. You will supervise the Quality Department and Process Engineers, drive cost and waste reduction, and maintain Food Defense and Product Safety systems.

You will coordinate with Sales, R&D, Manufacturing and customers, manage corrective actions, and champion CI across the plant.

Qualifications

• A Bachelors degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years manufacturing experience.
• 3 years experience or involvement in Technical and Quality Management.
• 1 year supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a safety leader and promotes a safe working environment.
• Directs activities of Process Engineers and the Quality Department.
• Identifies and implements plans for cost and waste reduction.
• Maintains and improves Food Defense and Product Safety systems.
• Administers product specs with Sales and R&D and revises as needed.
• Supervises validations and DOE to identify key process variables.
• Ensures new products meet customer requirements and process capabilities.
• Maintains quality systems and documents to comply with customer specs.
• Liaises with Sales, R&D, Manufacturing and customers on quality expectations.
• Manages Corrective Action with Supply Chain, Customer Service, and manufacturing.
• Reviews documentation to keep procedures up-to-date.
• Enforces company policies; drives CI deployment in the plant.
