Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Quality & Patient Safety Program Specialist to support organization-wide quality initiatives. You will manage system-level projects from scope to sustainment, apply safety improvement methodologies, and use data to drive decisions.

This role partners with multidisciplinary teams to strengthen the culture of safety and reliability in a complex healthcare system. The position requires a Bachelor's degree (Master’s preferred) with 3–5 years in quality/patient

Qualifications

  • Requires Bachelor's degree; Masters preferred.
  • RN and CPHS/CPPS/CPHQ preferred.
  • 3–5 years healthcare quality/patient safety experience; appropriate licensure or certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates independent project management skills including timelines, agendas, minutes, and reports.
  • Promotes the hospital's Culture of Safety through programming and data-driven decision making.
  • Applies patient safety science and improvement methodologies (IHI model, lean, etc.).
  • Uses incident reporting data to identify trends and drive safety enhancements.
  • Manages data collection, analysis and reporting for quality improvement projects.
  • Mentors Quality & Patient Safety Associates and supports education across BMC.
  • Maintains relationships with medical staff, administration, and departments to ensure alignment.
