Job summary

Power-Packer is seeking a Quality/Manufacturing Engineer to lead the Quality and Manufacturing functions at our hydraulic assembly plant. You will guide continuous improvements, enforce LEAN principles, and ensure the quality system meets customer requirements while supporting operational excellence.

The role reports to the Plant Manager and requires strong leadership, root-cause analysis, and hands-on problem solving across manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree required.
• 5+ years in manufacturing/ISO 9001; 3–5 years in leadership preferred.
• Black or Green Belt accreditation preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain the plant Quality Management System and document quality processes; lead audits to ensure compliance.
• Use data-driven processes to meet manufacturing targets and improve customer satisfaction; establish visual metrics for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Inventory.
• Lead daily operations with plant personnel, enforcing policies and improving processes.
• Manage corrective actions using 8D/A3 problem solving; drive cost reduction through Lean and Six-Sigma techniques.
• Own safety improvements and support HSSE goals; champion World Class/Lean methods to boost output and reduce costs.
• Support ISO 9000 processes, drive preventative measures, and lead root-cause problem solving (5-Why, 4-Block, 8D).
