Job summary

Gotion Illinois is seeking an experienced Senior Pack Production Quality Manager to lead plant-level pack quality operations and ensure world-class production output. This leader will oversee quality engineering, inspection activities, and cross-functional problem solving to meet customer requirements and standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing, battery or automotive preferred.
• Deep knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and core quality tools (SPC, FMEA, 8D, 5Why).
• Strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and customer-facing communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Pack quality engineering team, inspectors, and technicians across lines.
• Develop and execute plant-level quality strategies to reduce risk and improve stability.
• Serve as primary quality escalation contact for production and customers.
• Analyze quality metrics (defects, returns, CPK/PPK) and support CAPA actions.
• Drive Kaizen, DOE, SPC improvements and Lean-based quality enhancements.
• Ensure control plans, inspection standards, and non-conforming product processes are robust.
• Prepare and support external customer audits and maintain documentation.
