Gits Mfg Co. seeks a Quality/Manufacturing Engineer to lead the Quality and Manufacturing functions at our hydraulic assembly plant in Wisconsin. This role reports to the Plant Manager and champions LEAN principles to achieve operational excellence, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

The candidate will develop the Quality Management System, drive continuous improvement, and mentor teams in problem solving and process control. Strong ISO 9001 experience and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

Four-year college degree in engineering or related field is required.
Five or more years in manufacturing with ISO 9001 experience; leadership preferred.
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills; Lean training preferred.
Green/Black Belt accreditation is preferred but not mandatory.
Travel less than 10% is expected.

Responsibilities

Develop and sustain the plant Quality Management System and audit compliance.
Lead Lean initiatives to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
Direct manufacturing operations and support HSSE goals (Goal Zero).
Manage corrective action using 8D/A3, 5-Why, and root-cause analysis.
Ensure ISO 9001 processes and PPAP/4P activities are implemented.
Maintain quality documentation (FMEA, control plan, work instructions).
Partner with leadership to drive continuous improvement and data-driven decisions.
